Composite images. How to make people lose their heads!

People often ask me: “How do you create your images? And when I try to tell how much time, effort and hard work goes into one photograph, they are totally blown away. Recently, one of my friends said that he thought it’s just a special program where you click a button, and everything happens itself. Well… Yes, I use the particular program but because It allows you to make the impossible possible, not because it’s going to do everything for you. The program's name is Adobe Photoshop. Believe me; it takes a lot more than one click to create artwork

My surreal portfolio is a set of composite images. These are pictures made by the combination of multiple images merged into a single surface. Want to make a teddy bear bigger than the 5-floor building? Put a cityscape inside someone's head? Or turn it into a lightbulb? Maybe you’d like to set someone on fire? No problem. With this technique everything is possible, and your limitation is your imagination.
It always starts with an idea and then the whole creative process. Choosing props and place for the photoshoot, finding the right model and light situation, taking photographs, then the longest part - photo processing in Photoshop. For me personally, It takes from 6 to 15 hrs to create one image. It’s a long journey from the beginning to finish, but it’s fun! The reward when I make someone feel a certain emotion because of my pictures is priceless. Photography supported by knowledge, creativity and storytelling is a powerful thing. Have a look at these composite images and “before and after” selection. Believe it or not?
